Philip L. Dyke, Sr. of Lakeville, passed away today , January 22, 2014 at Nemasket Health Care Center in Middleboro. He was 84 years old.

Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late John Potter Dyke and Evelyn James. He was the loving father of 3 sons,  James Dyke of Lakeville, Philip Lee Dyke, Jr. of NY and John Patrick Dyke of Wareham and 1 daughter, Patrcia Ann (Dyke) Rudy of Norton. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Philip was predeceased by his brother Robert Dyke and leaves to mourn his other siblings, John "Jack" Dyke of Tuscon AZ and Mary Hartery.

Philip worked for years as a self employed general contractor. He also loved his dogs, especially shepherds and corgies.

Per the families wishes Philip's funeral arrangements are private and have been entrusted to South Coast Chapel in East Freetown.

Philip's family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks for the love and care given to Philp by the staff of Nemasket Nursing Center while he was there.

On behalf of the aids on west wing at Nemasket I wish to express our deepest sympathy to Mr. Dyke's Family. It was a pleasure to serve your dad. We all will remember him with that warm smile and charming personality. He will be sadly missed.
