Music by The Piano Brothers

Paul R. Dion, 84, of Rochester, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 6, 2015 at his home.

Paul was the loving husband, of the late Mary Perry.

Born in New Bedford he was the beloved son of the late, Magloire Dion and Helen Dollard.

Paul is survived by his sister, Muriel Dion, of New Bedford and a step daughter, Theresa Babineau of Rochester, and two nephews.

Paul graduated from Sacred Heart School in New Bedford, and then worked for years as a liquor distributor for Gilman Brothers. He was also an auxillary Policeman for the Town of Rochester and belonged to the Fin Fur and Feather Club in Rochester as well. Paul was an avid fisherman and he loved to smile. He believed in everyone's words (SCAMS), unfortunately, which lead to his untimely demise.

Paul's  funeral services, are to be held at a later date.

My dear uncle Paul, I will miss you greatly. You were a man's man, and you taught me a lifetime worth of things, you were gruff but kind in so many ways. To the rest of my family, I wish you peace and happiness. Rick

I have known Paul for most of my life. I have so many great memories of my time with him, hunting, fishing, on patrol as Rochester Police Officers, and just hanging out. It's difficult for me to comprehend that he is really gone. I considered him a brother. May he rest in peace.
Gone, but not forgotten.
A friend, Rabbit.

Such a tragic ending to such a good hearted man whom we all loved and respected. Words cannot express how much you will be deeply missed my dear friend. You left me with years and years of wonderful, happy memories. Your smile and sense of humor will forever be cherished. Why you never shared your pain and trials with us is beyond me. There was nothing we wouldn't have done for you to get you beyond this. Our heart and prayers go out to Muriel at this time and may the Good Lord grant her peace. Rest in peace my dear friend and may God be with you always.

Our deepest sympathy to you, Muriel. Paul was very special to us, as you know. He was always so kind, generous, and willing to lend a hand no matter what. I will always remember him as a surrogate grandfather to Alex and Stephen. They adored him and are so heartbroken, as am I. Your brother was a gentle soul who will be remembered with love.

Muriel, you have my deepest sympathies. He had breakfast with Wilkie and I every morning. We had some great times hunting up in Maine together at Harry's camp. I'll never forget that impish grin he always wore. Paul, you never said good bye. You'll be sorely missed.

Muriel, we are so sorry for your loss - he was a great guy. Although we were "new friends" of his from the FFF club we will miss his smile, kindness, sense of humor, and great stories. He made everyone feel special and was so generous with his time and "little gifts." We so wish we would have known of his problems - like everyone else, we would have been glad to help. His friends and family have suffered a great loss and the Fin, Fur and Feather Club will not be the same without him.

Even though many individual members have sent condolences we wanted to take this opportunity as a group to let you know how much Paul contributed to the Club and its membership. Paul was always present at Club functions either to contribute his skills, participate in a contest or just be there for support. He gave instructions and aid to any who asked and frequently sold items at way below their costs because he wanted to encourage people to get involved in archery, black powder, rifle, pistol and fishing. he was a true outdoorman who could regale everyone with his many stories. He lived life to the fullest and shared as much of himself as he could and he will be greatly missed by all
