Arthur Bergeron Obituary

Arthur L. Bergeron, 82 of Acushnet, MA, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, March 8, 2025, peacefully with his loving family under hospice care. He resided at Presidential Terrace of Acushnet for over 20 years.

He was the son of the late Albert J. and Helenda L. (St. Amand) Bergeron. Survivors include his sons Thomas J. Bergeron and his wife Christine of Foxboro, and James A. Bergeron of Fall River, a daughter Michelle L. (Bergeron) Mulvey and her husband Shaun of New Bedford. He also leaves behind his granddaughters Kayla P. Mulvey and Emily L. Mulvey, grandsons Eric T. Bergeron and Peter M. Bergeron, his brother Robert A. Bergeron and his wife Yvette of Lakeville, his sister Diane A. Gagnon and her late husband David of New Bedford, along with numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, as well as many friends, and his beloved dog Cotton.

Arthur was a US Army Veteran. He worked many years at the "Morse Cutting Tools" in New Bedford as a machinist and also worked at the family business “The Hangar’s Supper Club” in Acushnet as a bartender. In his later years, Arthur worked in the Insurance Industry.

Arthur enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends. He loved quahogging and made the best stuffed quahogs which was a family recipe. His other hobbies included gardening, camping, and playing cards. He was an avid fan of all New England sports and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
