Arthur G. Brunette 71, of Assonet passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday August 2, 2017. He was the husband of the late Linda (Ashley) Brunette.
Born in New Bedford, Ma, he was the son of the late Albert A. Brunette and Alice C. (Arsenault) Brunette. Arthur is survived by his children, his two sons; Scott Brunette and his wife Tracey of Assonet and Mark C. Brunette and Shelly (Attridge) Brunette of Oregon. Arthur is also survived by his four sisters; Jeanne and her husband Ray Fortin of New Bedford, Doris Fortin of Fairhaven, Anita Hubert also of Fairhaven and Dianne Tisdelle and her husband Bob of Acushnet. He is predeceased by his brother the late Joseph A. Brunette. Arthur was also the proud grandfather of his grandchildren, Scott Brunette II of Assonet and Katelyn Brunette of Assonet and her fiancee, Frank Leal of Dartmouth.
Arthur was a veteran and served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He worked for years in receiving for retail stores, notably The Mill Stores . He was a avid Boston Red Sox fan, and he enjoyed watching the New England Patriots too. He was a country man at heart and loved to feed all the chickens. He mostly cherrished sitting on the porch, everyday listening to the am radio, Howie Carr.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the gathering for Arthur on Saturday August 12, 2017 from 2pm to 6pm with a Memorial Service towards the end of the gathering. To be held at South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Road, (Rt 18) East Freetown, Ma 02717
