Brian D. Westgate

Brian D. Westgate, 79, of East Freetown, MA, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, peacefully with his loving family around him at Bourne Manor Nursing Home. 

He was the son of the late Leon and Vivian (Connell) Westgate. Survivors are his wife Nancy, married for 58 years, his son Brad D. Westgate Sr., his grandson Brad D. Westgate Jr., his granddaughter Hayley Lackie, his brother Timothy Westgate and his wife Nancy, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Brian was a Truck Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator/Mechanic for Southeastern Construction Company and worked at the Polaroid Corporation as a Warehouse Technician. More recently he drove a school bus for First Student Management LLC, in Freetown/Lakeville until his retirement. 

Brian was a family orientated person, he enjoyed being with family, going on family vacations, fishing, motorcycle riding, snowmobiling, four wheeling, hunting (more like a walk in the woods, never shot anything). Long rides to nowhere but ice cream.

A memorial service will be at a future date.
