Charlotte Anne (Rogers) Surprenant, 77, of Dartmouth Ma passed away peacefully at her Daughters home on October 12, 2023 surrounded with lots of love and her family. She was born on July 25, 1946, in Acushnet Ma. to the late Alice (DeMoranville) and Walter Rogers. Charlotte was a positive person with a strong love of Life. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Charlotte is survived by her beloved husband, Roger Surprenant, of 54 years. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Kim and husband Joe DaCosta. Charlotte cherished her grandchildren, Matthew DaCosta and his wife Sofia, Joshua DaCosta and his wife Melissa, Christopher DaCosta, Taela Surprenant, Caeden Berube, Anjaelise Cambronero, Jaelen Cambronero, and Nevaeh Cambronero. She also adored her Great-grandchildren, Alaina, Noah, Owen, Ava Marie, Lyra, and Madelynn.
Charlotte is also survived by her sister Jayne Eklund and her husband, Bill, and her brothers, Jerry Rogers and his wife, Joyce, Barry Rogers and his companion, Barbara, Brian Rogers and his wife, Maureen, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter JanaLyn Surprenant and her Grandson Jaecen Cambronero.
Charlotte was a lifelong member of the First Church of the Nazarene in New Bedford ma. She found solace and strength in her faith.in her earlier years she was a proud member of the Lincoln Park Rollettes. and spent much time bowling on numerous local bowling leagues. She was employed by Sears and Roebuck for many years as their employee trainer. She was also the church secretary for the First Church of the Nazarene for 15 years. She loved lighthouses and spending time on the beach searching for seashells. In her free time, Charlotte enjoyed crafting and crocheting for her loved ones. She found great joy spending time with her great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories. Charlotte will be remembered for her positive outlook on life and her unwavering love for her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will he held at the First Church of the Nazarene, 764 Hathaway Rd, New Bedford, Ma. on Saturday October 28, 2023, at 12:00 PM. a luncheon will immediately follow. Her burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Smith Mills Camp Meeting Association Care of The First Church of the Nazarene, 764 Hathaway Rd., New Bedford Ma.02740.
