Christopher “Cappy” George Caffin, 45, of Assonet, Massachusetts, passed away, Saturday, June 21st, 2014 unexpectedly at Boston Medical Center. This happened after a week long battle from severe injuries due to a horrible motorcycle accident with girlfriend, Renee Gancarski on June 14th, 2014.
He was born December 3rd, 1968 in Wrentham, Massachusetts to Frank III and Linda (Plotner) Caffin. He graduated from King Philip High School in 1986. Christopher was a licensed electrician and contractor. Also, he was part of Chamberlain Farm by participating in the Haunted House and cooking on Friday nights. He truly enjoyed working and was always on the go no matter what.
Survived by his two children, daughter Samantha Lee Caffin of Fairhaven, MA, and son Shane Joseph Caffin of Freetown, MA; one grandson, Jeffrey John Leshyk of Fairhaven, MA; two step-sons, Gregory Gary Medina and Christopher Richard Dixey of Freetown, MA; two brothers, Scott David Caffin of Weymouth, MA and James Robert Caffin; and mother Linda Lee Caffin. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Henry Caffin III in 1998.
He enjoyed hunting, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his children and grandchild. He enjoyed his beverage of choice, Captain with a splash of Diet Coke, no lime! He enjoyed going to the gun range with his son, Shane. A song that he lived by was “Live like you were dying” by Tim McGraw.
“Cappy” was a loyal friend to David, Kim, Kathy, Perry, Jacqui, Bob, and so many more people that surrounded him. He made a huge impact on so many lives. He enjoyed his life to the fullest and he brought the fun, laughter, and happiness wherever he went. Everyone was touched in different ways and when those memories are pulled together, you can see he experienced a fulfilling, exciting, and happy life.
A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 pm, Thursday, June 26th at Chamberlain Farm, 12 Friend St., Berkley, Massachusetts 02779. But always remember, he went the way he wanted to, riding his Harley.
