Obituary

Daniel J. Costa Jr., 65 of East Freetown, passed away April 6th, 2022 in his home after fighting a battle with cancer. Daniel was a class of 1975 Saint Anthony High School graduate and worked at BIW/DrakaUSA/Prysmian Group for over 40 years. He was married to his best friend, Colette Costa (Bernier), for almost 42 years and was an active member of Saint John Neumann Parish where he raised 5 loving children, Daniel J. Costa III and wife Sarah, David Costa, Jonathan Costa and wife Kelli, Brian Costa and wife Stephanie, and Jessica Miller and husband Kyle; 6 beautiful grandchildren Bella, Alexandria, Emma Grace, Beckett, Parker and Demi. He is survived by his mother, Yvette Costa (Renaud); brother, Marc Costa and wife Sharon; sisters, Joanne Deslauriers and husband Mark, Lisa Oellerich and husband Bob, and Gina Raffa and husband Steve; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Daniel J. Costa. Visiting hours will be Saturday, April 9th, 2022 from 5pm-8pm at South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Road, East Freetown. The funeral service will be held on April 30th, 2022 at Saint John Neumann Parish, receiving line from 12pm-1pm, Mass to follow.
