Obituary
Denise Y. Massey 71, of East Freetown passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 9, 2023.
She was the beloved wife of Edward J. Massey.
Born in New Bedford she was the daughter of the late Alphonse F. Roy and Jeanette A. (Ducharme) Roy.
Denise is survived by her children; Carrie Dubois and her husband Russell of Westport and Ginger Cane and her husband Bobby of Virginia, and her stepchildren; Heather Jean DeMount and her husband David of Weymouth, Amy Leigh Sylvia of Acushnet and Kelly Massey of Douglas. Denise is also survived by her siblings; Pauline Krouzek of New Bedford, Darlene Gonsalves of Freetown and Paulette Lapre of New Bedford, and she was predeceased by her brother the late Roland Roy. Denise was also the proud grandmother of her 10 grandchildren and her 6 great grandchildren.
Denise loved flowers and gardening. She also had a fond spot in her heart for her dogs, Labs and she enjoyed her horses. She loved and enjoyed being outside. She also liked to ride around in her Corvette. She was a great wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed her family.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 10:00 in White's Cemetery, Keene Road, East Freetown, Ma 02717
