Desmond C. White

Desmond C. White 88, of Rochester passed away peacefully on Monday September 1, 2025, in Wareham.

He was the beloved husband of the late Joan Marie (Pilling) White.

Born in New Bedford, Ma he was the son of the late Cecil J. White and the late Ella (Reynolds) White. Desmond is survived by his children: Randall E. White and his wife Janice of Lakeville, Matthew D. White and his wife Terry of New Bedford, Brenda L. Smith and her husband Jeffrey of Acushnet and Barbara E. White of Mattapoisett, and his stepchildren: Arthur C. Larivee of Lakeville and Lynn M. Carvalho and husband John. Desmond was predeceased by 1 of his children: The late David M. White. 

Desmond was also predeceased by 2 of his siblings: the late Cecil White and the late Ella Wilber. He also was the very proud grandfather of his 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Desmond worked for years as a self-employed carpenter and Anique's dealer. He really enjoyed Antiques. He also liked to go hunting, fishing and trapping. He liked dogs and cats, animals, and he really enjoyed watching Boxing.

Services will be held at a later date, and his burial will be private.
