March 26, 1935 – January 29, 2018
On Monday January 29, 2018, Dolores Sylvia age 82 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Dolores was the devoted wife of 61 years to the late Raymond J. Sylvia. She was the daughter of the late Chester and Anna Natowski, and a sister to Leanora James of Mission Veijo, CA. Dolores leaves behind her loving children Anne M. Lynch and her husband Gerald, Julie Oliveira, and her husband James and David Sylvia and his wife Kimberly. Dolores also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Bethany Meehan and her husband Brian, Matthew Lynch, Sarah Bagge and her husband Andrew, Lilly Oliveira, Brenden, Makenzie & Rylee Sylvia. Dolores was also blessed with 4 great-grandchildren, Abby, Molly and Emma Meehan, and Kylie Sylvia. Mrs. Sylvia also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and longtime friends.
Dolores worked as an accountant for both Old Colony Transportation and St. John St. James School. She was happiest when with her family or singing and dancing. Most of the time Dolores was the instigator of shenanigans at home and work. Dolores was an avid Patriots fan with her favorite being “The Gronk”. Dolores was also a traveler, with some of her favorite memories being trips to the mountains of New Hampshire in a VW van, London England, Germany, Disney World, California, Las Vegas and Hawaii.
Her proudest achievement were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dolores would always carry photos of them to share with friends.
She will be remembered for her unconditional love, pranks and doing anything for her grandchildren even if it meant being Mother Time, turning back the clock on New Years’ Eve so they can celebrate the New Year and still go to bed at a reasonable hour. Dolores will always be the champ of the “Oh Boy” moment.
Her family would like to thank the entire staff at Atria of Fairhaven for their care during her time with them.
Per Dolores’s final wishes services will be private conducted by South Coast Chapel Mortuary LLC. | E. Freetown MA funeral home
