Donald A.J. Park 86, of New Bedford passed away on October 7th. He was at home with his family by his side. Donald is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carla J. Park (Montgomery). He was the son of the late Albert and Louise Park. He was the brother of the late George E. Park and the late Irene M. Park. He is survived by daughters Paula Aguiar, Rachael Rebello and the late Gladys Mourao. Also sister-in-laws Janet Long (Montgomery)and Lynn Gillis (Montgomery)brother in laws Steven Eric and Robert Montgomery as well as two nephews and five nieces on the Montgomery side. One being his guitar picking partner Megan Gillis. He was the uncle to Susan Gwost, Carol and Russell Park. He was the grandfather of the late Troy Camara, Jaime Mourao, Shandel Trinadad,Rodney Perry, Sherry Costello (Bettencourt) and the late Richard Rebello. He leaves behind several great grandchildren as well as several great great grandchildren. Donald enjoyed cooking, as he worked as a chef all of his life. Woodworking and playing his guitar brought him joy He loved being outdoors fishing, camping and hunting moose. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Luke’s Hospital, Brandon Woods of Dartmouth and the entire hospice team from South Coast VNA. A special thank you goes out to Jaime Konior who provided an amazing and phenomenal degree of personal care and undying friendship to Donald during his time of need. They developed a very special bond. She as well, was right by his side until the very end. Donald will be greatly missed by many. In closing we say “ LOTS OF MEMORIES and NO REGRETS “.
