Orlowski, Doris “Dot” 67, of Rochester, MA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, in her home on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, following a valiant battle with colon cancer. Dot was the second of five children born to the late Hervey and Aline Saulniers. Sister of Muriel and her husband Jerry St. Amand of Norfolk, and three brothers Alfred and his wife Suzanne Saulniers of New Bedford, Robert and his wife Nancy Saulniers of Jefferson, ME, and Denis Saulniers and his companion Susan Koczera of North Port, FL.
Dot graduated from New Bedford Vocational High School in 1966 and attended Lemuel Shattuck Hospital School Of Practical Nursing in 1967. She worked many years as a nurse, dedicated to caring for others until her retirement in 2012. Dot was a gifted seamstress, who made wedding dresses, formal gowns, and other fashion, children apparel at her own shop, Nimble Thimble.
A beautiful and compassionate women, she was the epitome of hope and kindness and found happiness when helping and doing things for others. She was a member of the Council on Aging and the President of the friends group. Dot loved gardening, flowers and vegetables, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was utterly devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. Even after her cancer diagnosis, she didn’t yearn to travel or complete a bucket list; instead, she wanted to spend the time enjoying her family.
Dot is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Stan Orlowski, loving mother of Suzanne and her husband Leo Pinhancos of Rochester, Scott and his wife Katherine Orlowski of Rochester, cherished grandmother of Sarah and Jake Pinhancos and Chris Orlowski.

Memorial service from the South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Rd (Rte. 18), East Freetown, MA, Saturday morning at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Those wishing to give their condolences to Mrs. Orlowski's family can do so during the visitation which will be from after the memorial service until 12pm.
