Doris J (Vitagliano) Santos

Doris J. Santos 58, of Lakeville passed away suddenly and peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 15, 2024.

She was the beloved wife of 42 years to Juvenal "Jerry " Santos.

Born in Everett, Ma she was the daughter of the late Michael Angelo Vitagliano and the late Doris Katherine (Carbone) Vitagliano.

Doris is survived by her husband Jerry, her son, Jerry Santos and his wife Chanelle of Swansea, her daughter; Alyssa Santos of Lakeville and she was the loving grandmother of her 2 precious grandchildren; Ezra Santos and Autumn Tavares. Doris is also survived by her siblings; Rita Knight, Theresa Miele, Lois Vitagliano Jeanne Matheson and Mari-Anne Douglas. Doris was predeceased by her brother the late Michael Vitagliano. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she cared for very much.

Doris loved animals and adopted anything that needed a good home. She had many dogs, and she loved her horses. Doris leaves behind her faithful companion, her thoroughbred horse, INDY whom she just adored. She was a down to earth woman, very kind and she loved her family with all her heart and soul. She worked many jobs but enjoyed taking care of her family best of all.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Gathering for Doris on Monday, Sept 23, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm. To be held at South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Road (RT 18) East Freetown, Ma 02717.
