Douglas S. Messier

Douglas S. Messier 54, of New Bedford passed away suddenly, after a brief illness, in Fall River, on Monday August 25, 2025.

He was the beloved husband of Tina M. (Geggatt) Messier.

Born in New Bedford he was the son of the late James Messier and Ellen P. (Casey) Messier.

Besides his wife Tina, and his mother Ellen, Doug is survived by his 2 sisters-in-law: Maria Trembly and her husband Daniel of New Bedford and Ana Raposo and her husband Manuel also on New Bedford. Douglas is also survived by his fury children his dogs, Daisy Mae and Lucy, along with several nieces and nephews.

Doug worked for years as an Assembler for EpecTech located in New Bedford. He enjoyed collectibles, and he liked to read and enjoyed watching movies and basically, he loved to just relax at home with Tina and the dogs.
