Eduardo X. DeMello 65, of New Bedford passed away on Sunday February 16, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital, New Bedford, Ma.
He was the husband of Catherine A. (Viera) DeMello.
Born in San Miguel Portugal, he was the son of the late Antonio Pachecho DeMello and Maria Lidia (Amaral) DeMello.
Besides his wife Eddie is survived by his 2 sons; Jaime John DeMello and Eric Mathew DeMello and his partner Kim Aubut, all of New Bedford,. He is also survived by his siblings; his brother; Antonio DeMello, and two sisters; Louisa Medeiros and her husband Ronald and Lubelia Lima and her husband Tony all of New Bedford. Eduardo was predeceased by his sister; the late Maria Graustein. Eduardo was also the proud grandfather of his two grandchildren; Raelynn May DeMello and Alina DeMello.
Eduardo worked for years as a driver for Community Access. He liked all kinds of sports and was a avid fan of the New England Patriots. He especially loved his family.
A memorial service is to be held at Seamans Bethel, 15 Johnny Cake Hill, New Bedford, Ma 02740 Monday, March 2, 2020, from 1pm to 3pm, family and friends are invited to attend.
