Edward Tavares

Edward Tavares, of So. Dartmouth passed away on August 13, 2015 at the Royal Taber Nursing Home, he was 88.

He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ann (Galleano) Tavares. The loving father of James Tavares of Dartmouth, Bruce Tavares and his wife Sandy of New Bedford; Ricardo Tavares and his wife Anna of Dartmouth and the late Steven Tavares.

Brother of John Tavares and his wife Eleanor of New Bedford; Robert Tavares and his wife Emmy of Dartmouth and the late David Tavares and his wife Lillian of Florida. 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Edward was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII and he was a retired foreman for DPW for the City of New Bedford.
