Elizabeth Messier Obituary
Elizabeth J. (Bette) Messier 85, of Freetown passed away on Wednesday August 7, 2019 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River.
She was the beloved wife for over 61 years to Donald Messier.
She was born in Wareham, Ma the daughter of the late Alexander Charles Warr, Sr and the late Mary Elizabeth (Earle) Warr.
Elizabeth is survived by her two daughters; Mary Elizabeth LaFrance and her husband Paul of New Bedford and Karen Kirschner and her husband David of Middleboro. Elizabeth was predeceased by all her siblings the late Francis Warr, Alexander Charles Warr Jr, John Warr and Arthur Warr, the late Ruth Foster and the late Doris Lawrence. She was also the proud grandmother of her four grandchildren; Jeremy, Amy, Devan, and Zachary and her four great grand children; Kaileigh, Elijah, Avery and Greyson.
Elizabeth was a homemaker her whole life she loved her husband, children and grandchildren. She also was very active in her church, St. John Neuwann in East Freetown. She belonged to the Ladies Guild there, she was a Eucharistic Minister there and she was always helping at the Church barn during the Lakeside Festival and barn sales.
Elizabeth's Memorial Mass will be on Tuesday August 20, 2019 at 11:00 am to be held at St. John Neumann Church, 157 Middleboro Rd (Rt.18) East Freetown, Ma 02717. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
