Norton- Ella O. Gleason, age 87, passed away on October 7, 2023 at The Residence at Great Woods, Norton. Mrs. Gleason moved to The Residence at Great Woods in September of 2018.
She had previously lived in Mulberry, FL (24 years) and E. Freetown, MA (21 years). She is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Bernard F. Gleason; parents, Margaret (Ross) and Charles Oliver; sisters, Marie Doyle and her husband, Thomas, Florence Hannon and her husband Francis, and Sarah Oliver; brother, John Frances Oliver and his wife Jeannette; in-laws, Margaret (Sullivan) and B. Frederick Gleason; brothers-in-law, Joseph Gleason, James Gleason and his wife, Jan; niece, Margaret Hannon-Rizza and her husband, Michael Rizza; nephews Stephen Hannon and Ronald Hannon. She is survived by her sister, Stephanie Della-Chiara; children Christina (Gleason) Seiler and her husband, Gregory, Robert Gleason and his wife, Arlene Wilkinson, Brian Gleason and his wife, Kimberly Hake-Gleason, James Gleason, Stephen Gleason, Kevin Gleason and his wife, Laurie Leonardo-Gleason, Lynn (Gleason) Johnson; grandchildren Kjirsten Seiler, Benjamin Seiler, Mikayla Gleason, Alec Gleason, Brennan Gleason, Joshua Gleason and his wife, Anna Biegelsen, Matthew Gleason, Colin Gleason, Evan Gleason, Alexys Jennings, Christopher Johnson, Lincoln Johnson; great-grandson Luca Gleason-Biegelsen; sister-in-law, Barbara Gleason; nieces Deborah Gallagher, and her husband, Michael, Donna Gillis and her husband, Stephen, Diane Horan and her husband, Joseph, Kaoru Paganelli and her husband, John, Patricia Griffin and her husband, Richard, Theresa Hannon, Joanne Flanagan and her husband, Robert, Judy George and her husband, Fermin, Janet Oliver, Karen Hannon, wife of Stephen Hannon, Gleora Hannon, wife of Ronald Hannon, Paula Dadmun, Pamela Kotapski and her husband, Anthony, Kathleen Gleason, Michelle Hutchinson and her husband, James, Kristie Ann Della-Chiara, Jaime Della- Chiara, and Diana Alloway and her husband, Dale; nephews Charles Hannon and his wife, Leslie, William Hannon and his wife, Lisa, John Hannon, Thomas Hannon, John Oliver and his wife, Robin, Peter Gleason and his wife, Wendy, Christopher Gleason and his wife, Mary; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
The wake will be held at South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Road, East Freetown, MA. Visiting hours will be 4-8 pm on Thursday, November 2, 2023. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in East Freetown, MA at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 3, 2023.
