Emile F (Cippy) Cipriani

Emile F. (Cippy) Cipriani 89, of New Bedford passed away at his home, on Wednesday evening November 28, 2018.

He was the husband of Joan J.(Perry) Cipriani.

Born in New Bedford MA, he was the son of the late Peter and Louise (Rossi) Cipriani, and brother to Agnes, Victoria, and Thelma.

  He was the loving father of Michael Cipriani and his wife Susan of TX, Louise Martins of New Bedford, Kathy Johnson of Easton, Suzan Pritchard and her husband Dan of Westport and Andrea Cipriani of FL. He was also the stepfather of Christine Jardin of Acushnet, David Jardin and his wife Kimberly of West Greenwich, RI, Brian Jardin and his wife Sherri of New Bedford, the late Paul Jardin, Maria Arbec and her husband Michael of Fairhaven, Marissa Jardin with Shayna and their three children, who stole his heart. Emile is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

   He graduated from Southeastern Massachusetts Technical Institute. He retired from Commonwealth Electric after 35 years, where he was an electrical planner and shop steward. He was also a proud member of the Stetson Club.

  Cip was the most friendly and outgoing person you could ever meet. He would find new friends in a room full of strangers. He welcomed every family that moved into the neighborhood, and the children adored him. He will be missed by all.

   Over the years, Cippy donated to many charities. He couldn’t say no, to any charity seeking help.  So, in lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity.

Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral mass, which will be held on Saturday December 8^th,  10AM, at St Mary’s Church, 440 Main St Fairhaven, MA 02719.

There will be a receiving line at the church, before the service beginning at 9:30AM.

Interment will be private.
