Ethel May Rounsevell 95, of East Freetown, passed away on Friday March 6, 2020 peacefully at her home.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Smith Rounsevell.
Born in New Bedford Ethel was the daughter of the late Albert Crossley II and the late Blanche (Supry) Crossley.
Ethel is survived by her children; Curtis R. Rounsevell and his significant other Brenda of Maine, Cheryl Kuechler and her husband Bruce of Lakeville, Beverly Dube and her husband Dennis of Mattapoisett and Jane R. McArdle and her late husband, Michael also of Mattapoisett. Ethel was predeceased by her brother the late Albert Crossley III. She was also the proud grandmother of her 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Ethel and her husband worked as Cranberry growers for their own Company, Lakewood Cranberry Company. She was a member of the "Ladies Friendly Circle" a Church group, at the East Freetown Congregational-Christian Church. She and her late husband where also charter members of the "5C's Couple's Club". She was a very hard worker and she was pretty creative. She liked to cook and she enjoyed cake decorating. She and her husband enjoyed living in the winters on Marco Island for 20 years. Ethel mostly just loved her family.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation which will be on Tuesday March 10, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Road (Rt. 18) East Freetown, Ma. 02717 with funeral procession to follow for her burial with a graveside service in Rounsevell Cemetery on County Road in East Freetown, Ma 02717.
