New Bedford; Fernando Pardo 69, passed away on Saturday March 10, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of Shirley A.(Housewright) Pardo.
Born in La Caruna Spain he was the son of the late Francisco Lopez and Irene (Martinez) Lopez.
Fernando is survived by his son; Joseph S. Bousquet, Jr. of New Bedford, his daughter; Irene Caya and her husband Harold of New Hampshire and he is predeceased by his daughter; the late Cynthia Pardo. Fernando leaves behind two brothers; in Spain; Juan M. Pardo and Enrique Pardo and also predecesed by his brother the late Francisco Pardo. Fernando was the proud grandfather of his three grandchildren; Aiden A.L. Caya, Alex Bousquet and Patrisha Bousquet.
Fernando came to this country when he was a youg boy, being a fisherman in Spain, he continued the occupation here and was a Commercial Fisherman, out of New Bedford and sailed on many boats notably F/V Northern Traveler. He was very fond of a dog they called bear bear. He truly loved fishing, and the ocean and enjoyed road trips to Newport for the day.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend his wake, calling hours are from 4pm to 6pm on Wednesday March 14, 2018, to be held at South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Road (Rt.18) East Freetown, Ma 02717
