Frances A (Pollock) Hodges

Frances Anna (Pollock) Hodges 94, passed away peacefully on Friday
October 8, 2021.
She was pre-deceased by her husband of 67 years Charles H.M. (Charlie) Hodges Sr
She is survived by her brother Michael “Mickey” Pollock and his wife Barbara Pollock, her son Charles HM (Chuck) Hodges Jr, her two daughters Wendy Jane Gagne and her husband Steven O. Gagne and Sandra Lee Martins. Three grandsons, Charles HM (Chucky) Hodges III and his wife Jennifer Hodges, Kenneth D Martins and his companion Ellen O’Neill, and Gregory S Hodges.
One Great Granddaughter Samantha L Hodges and many loving nieces and nephews.
Fran was a homemaker, waitress, cranberry grower (with her husband Charlie) and worked with her daughters creating and selling porcelain keepsakes. ( although she never considered it work because it gave her such great joy).
Fran enjoyed the beach, boating on Long Pond, gardening and traveling with her daughters to artisan shows through-out New England, and truly loved creating and painting the keepsakes. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great granddaughter. Family always came first for Fran. She was an extremely caring, loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was and will always be the heart of her family. She will be dearly missed but will always remain in our hearts.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday October 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Chace Cemetery, 91 Chace Road East Freetown, MA and will be followed by a celebration of life at Fran’s home located at 214B County Road East Freetown, MA
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Mass Commission for the Blind or to your local animal shelter.
