Frank Gregory 71, of East Freetown passed away on Tuesday Sept 3, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford.
He was the beloved husband of Diane C. (Duquette) Gregory.
Born in New Bedford, Ma he was the son of the late Manuel C. Mello and the late Dorothy (Morrell) Mello.
Frank is survived by his children; Frank Gegory, Jr. and his wife Wendy of East Freetown, Jesse Gregory of New Bedford, Frank Duquette and his wife Tonya of Fall River, Elizabeth Morgan and her husband Roger of New Bedford, Rebecca Botelho and her husband Scott of New Bedford, and Bernadette Duquette of New Bedford. Frank was predeceased by his brother the late Manuel Mello and his sister the late Joanne Trombly and he is survived by his other siblings; Tony Mello of Dartmouth, Everette Vital of FL, John Mello of East Freetown, Richard Mello of Dartmouth, Ernest Mello of Acushnet, Manuel R. Reiniche Sr. of Westport, and Mary Kennison of New Bedford.
Frank was also the proud grandfather of his 11 grandchildren; Michael A. Gregory, Angelina M. Ferreira, Kelsey L. Duquette, Jordan M. Duquette, Mackenzie D. Duquette, Gary F. Gregory, Thomas D. Platt, Valerie C. Gregory, Victoria Leandro, Bonnie Morgan and Manny Morgan.
Frank worked for years as a self employed Auto Mechanic, he belonged to many clubs, Lakeville Eagles, Panther's, Down Shifter's car club, and the Lost Rebels car club. He also did allot of help for the Rochester Congregational Church, and in his spare time he used to be Freetown's Own Special Santa Claus, where he would go to Day Cares, Nursing Homes, the Freetown VFW, American Legion, just to name a few. Frank was a good hearted , kind soul and will be missed by many.
Visitation and Gathering of family and friends to which all are respectfully invited to attend will be held on Saturday September 7, 2019 from 5pm to 8 pm at South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Rd (RT 18) East Freetown, Ma 02717.
