East Taunton; Franklin "Frankie" Bettencourt, 65 passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Morton Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of Kathleen A. (Peterson) Bettencourt.
Born in Taunton, Ma he was the loving son of the late Franklin Bettencourt and Estella D. (Stott) Bettencourt.
Frankie was the devoted father of his three children, his two sons; Michael Bettencourt and Matthew Bettencourt and his wife, Vanessa both of East Taunton, and his daughter Tracy Dowd and her husband Daniel also of East Taunton. Frankie was also the very proud grandfather of his two granchildren; who loving referred to him as "Puppa", Julia Dowd and Bentley Dowd. Frankie was predeceased by his brother the late Ralph Bettencourt and he is survived by his sister's, Rhoda Ellis of Middleboro and Linda President of Taunton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Frankie worked for years side by side with his son, Michael, better known to all as the "Bettencourt Boys"; doing all and any odd jobs requiring trucks and bobcats, IE: septics, for their own Company, F. Bettencourt and sons.
Anyone who knew Frankie Bettencourt can attest to the fact, he loved trucks, any and all of them and old cars, especially his 55 Chevy and 66 Nova. He also liked his friends and he had a ton of them. He also loved his wife, his children and his grandchildren. There was also a soft spot in his heart, for Bucky the beagle.
Visitation to which family and friends are respectfully invited to attend will be on Wednesday April 18, 2018 from 4pm to 7pm, at South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Rd. (Rt.18) East Freetown, Ma 02717. A graveside service will be held on Thursday April 19, 2018 at Sampson Cemetery, Bedford Street, Lakeville, Ma. at 11:00 am.
