George Bussey Obituary

George was the son of the late George H and Rita Forman. Survived by his daughters Jacqueline & Amy and grandchildren Ariana & Elias. He leaves behind his siblings, sister Patricia Smith and her husband Doug. Brothers William and his wife Karen and Richard and his wife Michelle along with many nieces, nephews and his favorite Aunt. Prior moving to the area, the town of Avon was home until the age of 11. George served proudly in the U.S. Army obtaining the rank of sergeant and worked for many years in Brockton doing warehouse work as well as working at Pine Hill cemetery in West Bridgewater. George was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed all of the Boston teams as well as the Dallas Cowboys and watching tennis & golf. He loved playing golf and was a very good tennis player and skater. George loved riding his bike for many miles weekly and long walks with the family dog Cody as well as working Sunday's at the Raynham flea market with Patty & Doug at their booth, shaking hands and engaging in conversations with fellow veterans. Even though George suffered a serious debilitating stroke, he returned home to take care of his Mother so that she could live out her life at home. While George's stay at the VA hospital, he spent a lot of time having conversations with Rabbi Richard Messing. Sadly because of Covid, we weren't there when George passed, to pay our respects, to thank him for all he did for his Mother and just to say "you'll be missed, our hearts are broken and we love YOU"
