Germaine L. (Mailloux) Delisle

Germaine Lorraine (Mailloux) Delisle of Lakeville, passed away peacefully in her home Saturday, February 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was 91.

Born in Acushnet, she moved to Fall River as a child where she attended St. Jean the Baptist parochial school and Diman Vocational Girls High School. She spent many years working as a seamstress at Ross Mathews Mills.

Married in 1951, Germaine was the wife of the late Roger R. Delisle of Fall River. She is survived by her children, Dennis Delisle (wife Jean) of Lake St. Louis, MO; David Delisle (wife Patricia) of Baton Rouge, LA; Donald Delisle (wife Susan) of Fall River, MA; and Diane (Delisle) Roussell (husband Thomas) of Cheshire, CT.  She had 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her four brothers, Rene, Edmond, Donald, and Roland Mailloux.

Germaine enjoyed many activities in life including crocheting, knitting, playing cards, attending Bingo, and ballroom dancing. She made and donated hundreds of knitted and crocheted blankets to charities, family and friends. She especially loved family gatherings, weddings, and holidays, often being the last guest to leave.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral Services, on Friday, March 8, 2024. Visitation from 3:00pm to 5:00pm with a Memorial Service at 3:00 pm to be held at South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Rd, (Rt.18) East Freetown, MA 02717. Burial is private.
