Grace (Buckles) Herbert

Grace (Buckles) Herbert, 79 New Bedford, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford.

Born in New Bedford, she was the beloved daughter of the late, Albert Buckles and Helen (Bower) Buckles.

She was the loving mother of her three sons; John Herbert and his wife Bernice of New Bedford; Michael S. Herbert also of New Bedford, and Ronald Herbert of Maine.

She is survived by  two of her siblings, Albert Buckles, Jr. of New Bedford and Marjorie Buckles of Rhode Island. Grace was predeceased by the remainder of her siblings; The late George Buckles, Robert Buckles, Edith Brunette Buckles and Helen Lewis.

Grace was also the proud grandmother of 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Grace worked for years at the Candy Factory, in New Bedford, and she liked candy. She also enjoyed football and liked to snack and she was fond of cats.

Grace's family are planning to have a graveside service for her, at a later date.
