Henry Francoeur Obituary

Henry Noe “Artie” Francoeur

Henry was born in New Bedford, March 19, 1930 to the late Joseph and Juliette Francoeur.

He attended local schools. Henry worked for My Bread Baking Company in New Bedford for many years in the paint shop where he also honed his carpentry skills.

Henry shared his knowledge of carpentry building furniture which many of his family continue to enjoy to this day. After retirement, he and his wife, Theresa, took his skill to a new level and together created many craft items they sold in craft fairs under the name of “True Hearts”.
He enjoyed fishing, participated in a bowling league, and  the  occasional golf game. He had a quick wit and great sense of humor. When you saw the twinkle in his eye, you knew a "zinger" was coming. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Henry attended more dance recitals and athletic games than any grandfather should be asked to sit through and enjoyed it all.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, a son, Steven and his wife Elizabeth “Sissy” of Bridgewater, two daughters, Sheila McCausland of Wareham and Susan Smith and her husband Paul, of South Portland, Maine.   Eight grandchildren: Scott Francoeur, Kristen Francoeur,  Patience McCausland, Joshua McCausland, Heather Norse, Jennifer Bourre, Kelly Bourre and Aaron Bourre and seven

great-grandchildren:  Katie & Aiden Norse of Vermont , Bradyn & Cody Nagle of New Hampshire Kaine Stewart, Mikaela Hammer, and Jeremiah Bourre of Maine.

Henry also had 9 siblings. He was predeceased by 4; the late Joseph William "Billy" Francoeur, Raymond Francoeur, Harry Francoeur and Lillian Francoeur. He is survived by 2 brothers; George Francoeur of Wisconsin, and  Jean "Louie" Francoeur of Dartmouth, and 2 sisters, Leticia ( Francoeur ) Sylvia of N. Dartmouth and Mabel "Irene" (Francoeur) Fredette of N. Dartmouth. Henry is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
