J.Marilyn Miller, 81 of Assonet, passed away on February 25, 2016 at Crawford Health and Rehab Center in Fall River.
She was the beloved wife of 62 years to David Miller.
Born in Fall River, she was the loving daughter of the late Everette Cowell and Mae (Lynch) Cowell.
Marilyn was the mother of her two daughters; Donna Cantin of Tiverton, RI and Linda Hannant and her husband Brian, Sr. of Taunton, Ma and her son the late David Miller, Jr.
She is survived by her siblings; a brother Gerald Cowell of Fall River and a sister, Cynthia Mercier of Chino Valley, AZ. Marilyn is predeceased by her other sister, the late Patricia Crossley.
Marilyn was also the proud grandmother of her four grandchildren; Lauren Carvalho, Sara Cantin, Brian Hannant and Christopher Hannant and her four great granchildren; Gabriel Carvalho, Landon Carvalho, Grayson Carvalho and Eddrik Jamie ( E J ) Hannant.
Marilyn worked for years as an Librarian for the Freetown Elementary School. She loved crafts and she enjoyed the craft shows. She loved babies and especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also belonged to the Tuesday Club in Assonet.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours with a memorial service to be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 10:00am to 12pm, at South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Rd, (Rt.18) E. Freetown, Ma. 02717
In lieu of flowers donations in Marilyn's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Giving Spirit program for the Massachusetts and New Hampshire chapter.
