James A. Dutra 81, of Fairhaven passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham.
He was the love of her life for 64 years, Mrs. Nancy A. (Smith) Dutra.
Born in New Bedford he was the son of the late Anthony Dutra, Jr. and Adelaide (Daniels) Dutra. He was the beloved father of his three daughters;
Cynthia Peltier of Rochester, Gail Borges of Fairhaven and Carol Kennedy of N. Attleboro. James was also the proud grandfather of his 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, the late Dorothy Hathaway and survived by his sister, Mildred Logan of Fairhaven.
James worked for years in Trucking for Charles Gillman and sons. James loved cars, antique as well as all cars and enjoyed going to Seekonk for the racing. He loved the ocean and loved traveling with his beloved wife Nancy.
Jame's funeral and services will be private, per his wishes.
