James K. White
James K. White, 87, passed away Monday, May 27. He was the husband of the late
Evelyn (Schueler) White and son of the late F. Kimball and Elizabeth (Sweeny) White
and the stepson of the late Olive Millspaugh White.
Born in New Bedford, he lived in Dartmouth for most of his life. A graduate of
Governor Dummer Academy, he served four years in the Air Force before graduating
from Bentley University in 1958. Jim was formerly employed at ‘The Packet’ before
retiring from Pearson-Miller in 1995.
He is survived by his three children, Jay of Westport, Mark and his wife Donna of
New Bedford, and Diane Joyce and her husband Steven of Littleton, MA; five
grandchildren, Steven, Amanda, Brian, Zachary, and Michael; two great-grandchildren
Leo and Alyvia; and a brother, Gardiner, of Dartmouth.
James was the stepbrother of the late Leonard Millspaugh, Jr.
In accordance with his wishes services will be private.
Arrangements are by South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Rd., East
Freetown.
