Janet E. (Ward) Hennessey

Janet E. Hennessey 87, of New Bedford passed away on Thursday December 19, 2024 at the Brandon Woods of New Bedford.

Born in Weymouth, Ma she was the daughter of the late John Ward and the late Ruby (Leighton) Ward.

Janet is survived by her children; her son Jon Paul Hennessey and his wife Lika of the Country Georgia, and her daughters; Debra A. Tavares and her husband Gerald of Acushnet, Gail P. Milligan of Michigan and Linda McKay of Indianna. Janet is also survived by her brother James Ward and his wife Carol of Arizona, and she was predeceased by her brother the late Malcolm Ward and her sister the late Patricia Allen. Janet was also the proud grandmother of her three grandchildren; Janet Perrin, Kristen Borges and Michael Tavares and her 4 great grandchildren; Kiern Tavares, Sebastian Tavares, Lucas Perrin and Jacob Perrin.

Janet was an avid fan of the New York Giants football team. She also loved her dogs. She enjoyed reading and doing puzzles and oh how she loved to watch her soap operas.
