Janine Marie Croteau

Janine Marie Croteau, 63 of Acushnet, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Royal in Fairhaven.

Born in New Bedford, she was the beloved daughter of Normand P. and Pauline Y. (Gaudette) Croteau.

Janine was the devoted mother of her son, Jason Barron and his wife, Colleen of N.J. She is survived by her siblings, 4 brothers; Paul Croteau of Mattapoisett, Bernard Croteau of Fairhaven; Raymond Croteau of NB, and Michael Croteau of Everette;  and her five sisters, Louise M. DesRoches of Acushnet, Simone Benac of Fairhaven, Denise Satur of  Wareham,  Madeleine Ashley of Freetown and Michelle Torres of New Bedford. Janine was also the proud grandmother of her two granddaughters; Sarah Barron and Rachel Barron., and several nieces and nephews.

Janine worked for years as a self employed House keeper,  where she house watched and dog sat, she also was a fantastic seamstress. Janine was quite the crossword  puzzle enthusiast, and in her younger years , she did enjoy cats.

Her funeral services are to be held at a later date.
