Jeffrey S. Loomis

Jeffrey Loomis 82, of Assonet passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, June 5, 2026.

Born in Manhattan, New York he was the son of the late Nathan Brightner and the late Charolette (Eisenberg) Loomis.

Jeffrey worked for years as an accountant for the U.S. Chess Federation.  He was involved in programs like parents without partners. and he like volunteering for misc. causes. He also enjoyed photography and woodworking. But basically, Jeffrey was a home body, which he liked to be.

Jeffrey is survived by his children; Kerry Loomis and his wife Isabel of Florida, Joshua Loomis and his wife Kim of Pennsylvania, Mathew Loomis and his wife Janet of Belgium, Tammy Clarke and her husband greg of Florida, and Rachel Loomis of Assonet. Jeffrey is also survived by his siblings; Ricky Loomis, Jared Loomis, Larry Loomis and Brandy. Jeffrey was predeceased by his brother the late Paul Loomis and his sister, the late Lana.

Jeffrey was the proud grandfather to his 7 grandchildren.

Per Jeffrey's request there will be no services held.
