Joaquim A Faustino, Jr. 78 of Rochester passed away peacefully at home on Monday January 9, 2017.
He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Irene J. (Martin) Faustino.
Born in New Bedford Mass he was the son of the late Joaquim A. Faustino, Sr. and Alice D. (Enos) Faustino. Joaquim was the father of his children, his two sons, Christopher and his wife Lora Faustino of Rochester and the late Steven Faustino and his fiancee Cindy Bell, and his daughter the late Kelly Ann Faustino. Joaquim is survived by his brother Frank Faustino and his wife Barbara of Beverly, Ma. He was also the proud grandfather to his 4 grandchildren; Christopher Scott Faustino, Jr., Cody Michael Faustino, Madison Ashley Roy and Chelsea Kate Roy and his one great grandchild, Paisley Mae Riccardo.
Joaquim served his country proudly and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a Fire Warden for many years at District 2, Myles Standish in Plymouth. In his younger years he enjoyed going hunting and fishing and he really loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his wake which will be on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 4pm to 8pm at South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Rd (RT.18) East Freetown, Ma 02717. His funeral will be on Saturday January 14, 2017 @ 9am with procession to St. Rose of Lima Church, 282 Vaughan Hill Rd., Rochester, Ma 02770 for a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow with Military Honors, at 11:30 am at Center Cemetery, Dexter Lane, Rochester, Ma.
