Joseph N. Cournoyer

Joseph N. Cournoyer, 77, of Acushnet, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the Nemasket Healthcare Center in Middleboro.

He was the beloved husband of Sandra Anne (Sylvia) Cournoyer. He leaves behind his 3 loving children, Michael J. Cournoyer of Acushnet, Madalaine Anne (Cournoyer) Charette and her husband Paul of Middleboro and Cynthia Lynn Cournoyer of St. Augustine, FL. He is also survived by one sibling, his brother Roger Cournoyer.

Joseph was also the proud grandfather of 2 grandchildren; Joshua  Michael Charette and Zachary Thomas Charette and one great granddaughter Kiera.

Mr. Cournoyer worked for years as a foreman for Com. Electric. He loved to go fishing with the kids, working with stained glass, wood working, carpentry and electrical things. Joseph was also a proud Veteran and served his country in the United States Navy, from  Sept.1956 to Aug.1960.

 Joseph's funeral services are to be held at a later date.
