Lorraine Scanlon Obituary
East Freetown; Lorraine N. ( Duff ) Scanlon, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday July 7, 2018.
She was the beloved wife of John R. (Ray) Scanlon, Jr.
Born in New Bedford, Ma she was the daughter of the late Joseph R. Duff and Rose (Aceceda) Duff. Lorraine was the devoted mother of her two daughters; Kathleen Scanlon of Lakeville and Kelly Raye Ostmon of Fairhaven. Lorraine is also survived by her siblings, her brother Raymond Duff of Dartmouth and her two sisters; Sandra Bettencourt of Acushnet and Deborah A. Allaine of New Bedford. Lorraine was also the proud grandmother of her four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Lorraine enjoyed cooking and animals, but mostly she was the happiest when she was with her husband, her children, and her grandchilren.
In lieu of flowers, "take yourself out to eat something for dinner and think of me."
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to join Lorraine's family for A gathering of family and friends to be held on Tuesday evening July 17, 2018 from 4pm to 6pm with a service to be held at 6pm.
