She also leaves many nieces and nephews and was affectionately known as “Tante Wu Wu” by her many great nieces and great nephews, who all loved her dearly.
In her early years, Lucille worked at Titleist and Colonial Textile. She loved music and dancing, especially round dancing where she became a cuer (caller) for over twenty-five years and for numerous groups including The Dancing Shadows. Lucille and Wayne, married for over sixty years, not only danced locally but also as worldly travelers. She filled numerous positions such as secretary, choir director and singer, pianist, newsletter editor and website publisher for the Long Plain United Methodist Church - as a member for over sixty years. Lucille was loved and respected by all who knew her. She was an extraordinary woman and will be missed immensely.
