Fairhaven; Margaret L. (Lacerda) Bowman 75, passed away peacefully at her home, on Saturday April 28, 2018.
She was the beloved wife of Leroy J. Bowman.
Born in New Bedford, Ma she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. Lacerda and Margaret Lewis.
Margaret was the loving mother of her three children; her two sons; Mark P. Bowman of New Bedford and Timothy J. Bowman of Fairhaven and her daughter; Karen L. Jackson of Acushnet. She also was the proud grandmother of her grandaughter; Jillian M. Jackson and her husband Brad of Brookline. Margaret is also survived by her siblings; her brother James Lacerda and his wife Nancy of Fairhaven, and her two sisters; Dolores Soares and her husband Ernest of Swansea and Constance Lane and her husband Paul of Fairhaven .
Margaret worked as a homemaker her whole life which she enjoyed doing and taking care of her children and grandchild gave her much joy.
Margaret was a very private person and she enjoyed reading. In her younger years she liked going for rides in the car and she especially found peace and tranquility, sitting at the beach, just being by the water.
A graveside service will be held for her at a later date.
