Margaret E. (Mead) Nash 97, passed away May 9, 2017 at the Golden Living Oak Hill Nursing Home in Middleboro.
Born in Brockton, Ma she was the daughter of the late George H. Mead and Arlene (DaSilva) Mead.
Margaret was predeceased by her sister; Doris Hayes. She is survived by her four nephews; Karl Hayes of New Bedford and Kathy Moniz also of New Bedford, Tom Hayes and wife Darlene of Maine, Richard Hayes and his wife Sally, also of Maine. Mark Hayes of Middleboro and the late Ronald Hayes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Margaret worked for years as a stitcher and a supervisor for many shoe factories in Brockton.
Margaret loved to gamble and enjoyed scratching tickets. She enjoyed feeding the birds and loved living in the country, but mostly she loved her cats.
Wake with visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Rd (Rt.18) East Freetown, Ma 02717, friends and family are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
