Mark K. Greenwalt

 Mark Kevin Greenwalt 62, of East Freetown, formerly of Marfa, Texas passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016, unexpectantly. He was the companion of Maribeth Williams of Marfa, Texas. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, a son of Therese Y. Greenwalt and late Lee Roy Greenwalt.

Mark worked for over 30 years as a Mud Engineer for Oil Companies that he traveled the world with. Mark also worked for American Airlines as a Mechanic for many years. He loved motorcycles, especially his BMW’s. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and loved Texas, especially Marfa. Mark was an avid Boston sports fan. He enjoyed fishing with his close friends and was a strong republican. Mark’s heart will always be in Texas, leaving behind a group of very close friends and family located in Massachusetts and Texas, who will greatly miss him.

Surviving are his four sons of Texas Max, Myles, Mason and Merle Greenwalt; Brother Glen Greenwalt and wife Michelle of Westport; Sister, Joselyn Kirby and husband Bruce of New Bedford as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and family are respectfully invited to his cremation memorial service  on Friday, July 1st from 6:00pm to 8:00pm here at South Coast Chapel Mortuary, 158 Middleboro Road, (Rt.18) East Freetown. An additional Memorial service will be held in Texas with Mark’s close family and friends.
