Marlene A. Amaral 83, of New Bedford passed away at her home, on Friday April 23, 2021.
She was the beloved wife of John Gilbert Amaral.
Born in Detroit, Michigan she was the daughter of the late Orville Pulliam and the late Helen Marie (Yettaw) Pulliam.
Besides her husband John, Marlene is survived by her seven children; 3 sons; Michael Sylvia of New Bedford, Robert Sylvia of Indiana, Jerome Arruda of New Bedford, and four daughters; Barbara Sylvia of New Bedford, Kathleen Faria of Rhode Island, Karen Caton of New Bedford and Anne Bouvier of Marlboro. Marlene was predeceased by her brother; the late Thomas Pulliam and she is survived by her sister; Diane Williams and her husband Steve of Indiana. Marlene was the proud grandmother of her 16 grandchildren, and her 21 great grandchildren.
Marlene worked for many years as a waitress at Elvira's restaurant and an assistant manager at Cumberland Farms.
She liked cats, and playing cards, and enjoyed scratching tickets, and playing the lottery. She also was quite the computer whiz.
Per Marlene and her families wishes, there will be no services.
