Maurice L. Ashton

Maurice L. Ashton 60, of New Bedford. Maurice "Moe" Ashton of New Bedford passed away at Dartmouth Manor on April 29, 2023, after a long illness.

He was the son of the late Fred Ashton and Pauline M. (Muir) Ashton-Jeffries and the stepson of the late Kenneth J. Jeffries.

Born in New Bedford, he lived in E. Freetown and New Bedford. A communicant of St. John Neumann Church. A 1981 graduate of Apponequet High School. He was formerly employed at Alden Shoe Co/ Machine Operator.

He enjoyed Magic and cycling.

Survivors include 2 brothers: Michael J. Ashton and his wife Linda S. of Lakeville and Mark A. of New Bedford. Also, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

His graveside service will be in Acushnet Cemetery, Main St, Acushnet, Ma, all are welcome, Wednesday May 3, 2023 @ 10am.
