Patricia Ann Rego; Pat, 66, of Dartmouth, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 29th 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford.
Patricia, was a longtime resident of Dartmouth, Ma. Born in New Bedford Mass, she was the beloved daughter of the late Henry and Sophie Barboza. She was the companion of Brian Cochran of Dartmouth, Ma.
Patricia is survived by her brother Robert Barboza of Texas. Patricia was the loving mother of two her sons Rodney Rego and his wife, Jesselyn of California, and Jeffrey Rego of Florida, and her daughter April Rego Tavares and her husband, Bob of California. She was also the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren Justin, Destinee, and Maisen Rego, Joseph and Emma Rego, Julie and Brian Whitcher, Britnee Frenette, and two great grandchildren Connor and Mya Rego.
Patricia worked as a waitress for China Lantern for 35 years. She could always put a smile on someone’s face, it was her best quality. Patricia was always willing to lend an ear to anyone who needed to talk and helped people whenever she could. She will be missed dearly and always hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew her.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 5pm to 8 pm at mfcsllc South Coast Chapel, 158 Middleboro Road, (Rt.18), East Freetown, Ma. 02717
