Pauline E. (Muir) Ashton ~ Jeffries

Pauline E. Ashton ~ Jeffries, 83, of East Freetown, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

She was the widow of the late Fred Ashton and Kenneth Jeffries.

Born in New Bedford, Ma she was the daughter of the late Villard Muir and Melanie Fontaine.

Pauline was the proud mother of 3 sons;  twins, Michael J. Ashton and his wife Linda of Lakeville, and Marc A. Ashton of East Freetown. and Maurice L. Ashton also of East Freetown, MA. Pauline is also survived by her siblings; two brothers, Robert Muir of Florida, and Leonard Muir of Pennsylvania and her sister, Diane Gaudette of Northbridge, MA.

Pauline worked for years as a bank teller at St. Anne's credit Union. She was a member of the woman's guild and the singles club, which dissapated in 2000. She was a devoted Catholic and enjoyed flowers.

Calling hour to which friends and relatives are invited to attend will be on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 8:30am ~ 9:30am at mfcs  South Coast Chapel, located on 158 Middleboro Road (Rt.18)in East Freetown, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. John Neumann Church at 10:00 am with procession to burial in Acushnet Cemetery.
