Rene Edward Breault, Sr.

Rene E. Breault, Sr, 81, of New Bedford, passed away on February 20, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford.

He was the beloved husband of 58 years, to the love of his life,Lillianne M. (Bissonnette) Breault.

Born in New Bedford, he was the loving son of the late Alphonse Breault and Viola (Boivin) Breault. Rene is survived by his children;  two sons; Rene Edward Breault, Jr. of New Bedford, and David Breault of Tiverton; and two daughters; Gail (Breault) Mello of New Bedford, and Diane Breault also of New Bedford. Rene is also survived by his sibling, his brother, Alphonse "Jimmy" Breault. He is also the proud grandfather of two grandchildren, Justin Breault and Renee Wood and one great grandchild, Camryn Wood.

Rene loved the military, he also was a member of the Livsey Club in New Bedford, a football club, where he was semi- pro tight end, and he loved to fish and he really, loved to cook....Clam boils, were his favorite.

Rene worked as a roofer for many years,  he worked at Universal Roofing in New Bedford, and many other companies. He also served his country proudly, in the United States Navy, during the Korean War.
