New Bedford; Richard J. Boutin 60, passed away April 14, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital, after a long courageous battle with colon cancer.
He was the beloved husband of Karen D. (Hebert) Boutin, together for 37 years.
Born in New Bedford he was the son of the late Norman J. Boutin and Vivian (Potvin) Boutin.
Richard is survived by his son; Travis Jay Boutin and his domestic partner, Zachery Richard, of New Bedford. He is also survived by his siblings; two brothers, Normand Boutin and his wife Debbie of New Bedford and Michael Boutin and his wife Jacqueline of Taunton. Two sisters; Diane Jarvis and her husband Raymond of Fairhaven and Jeannine Bland and her husband Robert of Acushnet. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. His uncle Raymond Potvin and his wife Lucille of New Bedford.
Richard worked for years in merchandising, noteably with Shaw's Super Markets. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and was a real cheese head. He also loved to go fishing with his son. Richard was a fan of Jazz music and he did like animals. He was al oving, caring person.
A celebration of his life, will be held at a later date.
