Richard Holden Kendrick, Sr. 97 of East Freetown passed away peacefully on Friday June 13, 2025.
He was the beloved husband of the late Joan (Protin) Kendrick.
Born in East Freetown, Ma he was the son of the late Frank H. Kendrick and the late Ruth (Holden) Kendrick.
Richard worked for years as a Cranberry Grower and Poultry Farmer of his own company. He also served his country proudly in the United States Army as a Seargent. He enjoyed restoring old cars and even has a Model A, that he adored. He also worked for the Freetown Fire Dept. Richard really enjoyed working and weeding his bogs. He was a real down-to-Earth guy who wanted no fluff from this world, and he mostly enjoyed spending time with the ones he loved, his family and grandkids.
Richard is survived by his children, his son, Richard Holden Kendrick, Jr. and his wife Robin of East Freetown and his daughter JoAnn Kendrick and her partner Mark DeJesus also of East Freetown. Richard was predeceased by his sister the late Francis Carlson. Richard was the proud grandfather of his 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
As per his wishes, there will be no fluff, about his funeral arrangements.
