Robert F. Howland 70 of East Freetown passed away after a long illness on Sunday June 28, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at the Sacred Heart Home in New Bedford.
He was the beloved husband of Jeanne Cecile (Cote) Howland.
Born in New Bedford, MA he was the son of the late Ezra Francis Howland and Hortensia (White) Howland. He was the loving father of his children; his son, Scott Howland and his two daughters; Kerriann (Howland) Malatesta and Amanda Howland. Robert was predeceased by his brother; Ezra Francis Howland and is survived by a sister, Joan Nichols of Acushnet.
Robert worked for years as a engineer for Naval Underwater Systems in Newport. He loved animals, the Red Sox and Nascar. He also enjoyed making models and was quite the music buff who really liked the Beatles.
Relatives and friends are repectfully invited to attend a receiving line at 9:30 am prior to his Memorial Mass at St. John Neumann Church in East Freetown, on July 6, 2015 at 10:00, followed by procession to burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in New Bedford.
